Here Come The Saviors. No really ... here they come.
By Pallaton [ARTIST]
This new band is like interpol and the 80's had a child...but then left it on the doorstep of muse and prog rock. And they did raise that child ...
and yes, that's a good thing.
Here Come The Saviors recently added a live video of them at their first gig - go check it out in the videos section.

Small Colony's frail sound packs a powerful punch
By Pallaton [ARTIST]
Indie rock outfit Small Colony create beautiful and frail choruses and melodies that you'll be humming all day. Don't be fooled by the elliot smith-like strumming, the songs pack a punch. First you'll take them in with ease and a feel of melancholy... later with a silent power that creeps up on your emotions.
The new single also just got a boost in the way of a powerful music video.

Yukie - New Single
By Pallaton [ARTIST]
This new single by Hotpa and Yukie is about to blow up - so go check out the song now, and be among the few who were in the know.
The song delivers an old school beat with female vocalist Yukie pushing the track along with her 'icu' chorus. Hotpa adds rap lines that compliment the aggressive yet chill/fun vibe of the song.
Yukie, being a fan of j-pop herself, has a certain Hikaru Utada feel to her delivery - and that's a good thing.
Their first cooperative single -more than a love song- is currently on their myspace page - and will soon be ported over.

The OL Blog and Current Projects
By Obscura Labs [ARTIST]
People of the Internet!
We are Obscura Labs, and we come to lovingly project photons onto your glistening eyeballs!
As stated in our profile bio, we are a film/art collective based in Seattle, working tirelessly to bring you scintillating wonders and hideous monstrosities.
You can see our latest news updates at www.obscuralabs.com
You will no doubt notice our small clutch of videos. I ask that you not judge us solely as purveyors of mentally defective hobos, Lovecraftian silliness, and biblical puppet fornication. There is much more to us! Here are some of our current projects:
"Greedy Little Fingers"
A surreal steampunk film by Ryan Allred about a curious young girl who cannot help but follow a mysterious string to treasures waiting to be pilfered. But what awaits at the string's end?
Right now we have about 90% of the film shot. We're currently seeking funds to finish the last 10%, and someone willing to lend us an HDV camera for capturing. You can see photos from the shoot here
"Don't Pass That Glass!"
A parody of 50's educational films by Justin Minich. The film follows Timmy, an average American teen who is schooled by a god-like narrator on the horrendous consequences of sharing your glass with other people. Despite what he has learned, Timmy succumbs to peer pressure which causes his slippery descent into temptation and debauchery.
"Don't Pass That Glass" is currently in post production. Justin is hard at work fixing a scene with a moving boom shadow. Once this is completed he will move on to animating a short sequence of naughty microbes.
For this film we're seeking $300-$600 in donations in order to purchase the needed stock footage. We're also looking for music for the intro, outro, animated sequence, party scene, and small incidental bits. In addition, we're also looking for donations of animation paper. Specifically, 12 Field Size Bond Paper, ACME punched.
"The Artiface Project"
The Artiface Project was just an idea in the head of Justin Minich when he came back from his first trip to Burning Man in 2006. Now he's aiming to make it a reality for Burning Man 2010.
Essentially, The Artiface Project is an interactive artwork that translates brain waves read by EEG into sound and visuals.
Version 1.0 will have 4 EEG stations arranged around a cymatics device that will project onto the ceiling of a dome enclosure, creating an ever-changing neuro feedback mandala.
Justin is currently working on a prototype EEG device and will then move on to making the signal audible. Donations in any amount would be appreciated to cover the cost of the electronic components and the parts for the dome enclosure.

Timbaland Presents Shock Value 2
By Brandenlee [ARTIST]I went to iTunes last night and bought Shock Value 2 from rapper and producer Timbaland. This is the second volume of Shock Value which was a hit in 2007, It has topped several charts and received 16 platinum certificates worldwide. One of my favorite songs from Shock Value was "Throw It on Me" (feat. The Hives) And Only (feat. Fall Out Boy) Shock Value 2 was released December 4, 2009 and features artists such as Miley Cyrus, Chris Daughtry, Katy Perry, Chad Kroeger from Nickelback. I listened to the whole album and 10 out of 17 tracks all sounded the same. Only one track i liked was "Long Way Down"( feat Chris Daughtry) and I cant get my head around on how Miley Cyrus got in on the album with the track "We Belong to the Music", When listening to it, I felt a little awkward lol... I recommend only downloading the tracks you like.
